I'm Danielle Davis. I create and connect.

I grew up in Singapore and Hong Kong and now live in Los Angeles.

My first picture book was To Make, art by Mags DeRoma, from HarperCollins. My first middle grade novel was Zinnia and the Bees. And more chilldren's books are on the way!

I'm represented by Charlotte Wenger at Prospect Agency. I'm a writer for children, picture book coach and editor, collaborator, teacher, producer, and organizer My goal with every project is to offer kids validation, comfort, and hope.

I organize The Rights of Every Child project.

I love visiting schools and libraries to read and craft with kids, facilitating workshops with children or professional development folks, mentoring picture book-writers, as well as writing and producing animation projects.

I've got an M.A. in literature and creative writing, and a number of years ago, I had the privilege of teaching English to middle school and then community college students.
